The first prelude, with a length of 4'45 min, is entitled Nuages Gris(Grey Clouds) and is a tribute to Franz Liszt. The second prelude, with a length of 3'50 min, is entitled En Bleu et Or (In Blue and Gold). It radiates a peaceful and lighter mood. The third prelude, which lasts 5'45 min, is entitled Chamarel.
