Description:
The pieces presented are particularly suitable for piano lessons at the intermediate level. They are arranged progressively according to difficulty and are aimed primarily at young people from the age of 14 and adults. Since there is a great deal of literature for this target group, the question naturally arises as to why this edition adds to the already abundant supply.
The answer is given with the pedagogical objective. With the pieces at hand, an attempt is made to prepare the student for the tonal language of contemporary music. An important goal is achieved if it is possible to understand what Schoenberg called the emancipation of dissonance in his teaching of harmony.
In the "7 Pieces for Beginning Pianists" there are no dissonances in the traditional sense of the word. It is worked with timbres of a spectrum, which are used following the rules of an extended tonality.
