Description:
Eine kleine Nachtmusik, Mozart's most popular instrumental work, was written at a particularly happy time. On August 10, 1787, he entered this serenade in his personal catalog of works: At the time, Mozart was at the height of his success as an opera composer. The cheerful aura of this music, which the sparrows whistle from the rooftops then as they do today, is preserved in Michael Töpel's easy-to-play arrangement for piano solo.
There has never been a lack of arrangements of this work in particular, but never before has Mozart's original been such a strict guideline: the Urtext of the New Mozart Edition always takes center stage as the decisive authority. This edition therefore differs fundamentally from all other arrangements.
The result is sonically captivating. Pianistically, it is at an easy to moderately difficult level. A pleasantly instrument-appropriate playing feel is inevitable. Tried and tested fingerings are included as well as practical tips on ornamentation.
