Description:
Bruckner's Symphony No. 7 in E major was composed between 1881 and 1883 and first performed in Leipzig in 1884. Its warmly lyrical opening, magnificent slow movement and immense architectural sweep brought Bruckner his first major public success. The Adagio, partly conceived as a tribute to Richard Wagner, is among the composer's most moving and celebrated creations.
