Description:
The ANACROUSE collection offers novice and experienced pianists alike a wide choice of classical works, from the Renaissance to the modern era.
We have set ourselves the goal of offering both "must-haves" from the classical repertoire and pieces by sometimes forgotten composers, all of undeniable pedagogical value. Each piece, sold individually, has been the subject of careful editorial work, both in terms of the musical text and its engraving, in order to guarantee musicians the conditions indispensable to the pleasures derived from the frequent trade in these works.
The scores are offered in the form of traditional works (paper sheets), and also available by download.
Composed in 1782 in Vienna but published some twenty years later, this fantasy in D minor by Mozart has everything to seduce. The short initial andante is followed by a contrasting adagio, with sweeping, dramatic effects and "rockets" of notes that suddenly upset the theme's low, plaintive song. The finale, Allegretto in D major, breaks with the despairing tone of the adagio and concludes the piece in an almost childlike elation. Although relatively short, this piece is inspired by lyrical drama and represents the very type of Mozartean improvisation. A very intimate work, but full of operatic reminiscences, the Fantasy in D minor is in the purest tradition of Karl Philipp Emanuel Bach's improvised works.
