This book is a method of initiation to the flamenco piano, understood as an accompaniment to the singing, as would a guitar. The school followed will be the Escuela de Jerez. For this, we have broken down each Palo, or flamenco style, into its elementary components: introductions, variations and closings. By combining any of these elements together we will be able to accompany, at a basic level, a cantaor. The more or less success in the choice of the variation will depend on our own musical taste.
The first part of the book details the typical techniques used in flamenco guitar and their adaptation for piano, and then in the second part it gives the basic tools to be able to play a song of each of the flamenco palos studied.
In this first book, we will focus only on the fundamental Palos of the Soleá group, within the Palos of 12 times, that is to say, we will treat the Soleá, the Bulerías de Jerez and the Alegrías de Cádiz, with a small incursion in the Alegrías. span.
