In the fall of 2017, Wiener Urtext Edition is now publishing a newly revised single edition of this exceptional work. The incomplete source material has been reassessed and explained in the preface and critical report. The edition also contains an interpretative contribution by Johann Sonnleitner, which sheds new light on Beethoven's problematic metronome markings.
