Description:
In addition to sonatas and variation works, Ludwig van Beethoven also left behind a considerable number of individual pieces for piano. They range from larger works such as 'Die Wuth über den verlornen Groschen' or the Fantasy op. 77 to the witty miniatures of the Bagatelles. In terms of their genesis, they span the composer's entire oeuvre from his time in Bonn to the last years of his life. The new edition completes the previous selection with important works such as the rondos (WoO 48 and 49) from 1784, which are also interesting from a pedagogical point of view, and pieces that have hardly been noticed until now, such as the musically extremely attractive Allegretto in C minor WoO 214. The edition also contains the Ländlerischer Tanz, which was rediscovered in January 2020.
