Description:
Most piano students are familiar with the Melodic Practice Pieces op. 149 by Anton Diabelli and have already played them with pleasure. These "New Melodic Practice Pieces" for piano four hands arose from the desire to have other piano pieces with a similar structure available. The "New Melodic Practice Pieces" can also be very well integrated into piano lessons, be it as primavista material or as light playing literature for a first four-handed playing. The primo part is much easier to play than the secondo part, which can also be played by the piano teacher, for example. As with the Diabelli piano pieces in the primo part, the range is almost everywhere limited to the quintum; there are no difficult jumps there and often both hands are guided in parallel. The nine pieces can be combined as desired due to their very different characters and thus offer the opportunity to prepare a sequence of personal favorites for a small audition program.
