Paul Badura Skoda ist nicht nur seit Jahrzehnten als Herausgeber sondern auch als weltweit gefragter Pianist tätig. Er war Schüler von Edwin Fischer, der seinerseits bei dem von Brahms sehr geschätzten Eugen d'Albert Unterricht hatte und ist somit einer der letzten, die noch auf eine mündliche Tradition zurückblicken können.
