Each piece opens up a unique, characteristic world of sound for the player, stimulating the fantasy and imagination of young pianists and encouraging them to try things out and practise. In this way, children playfully get to know a variety of musical styles from all parts of the world and eras. At the same time, "PIANO fantastico" consistently avoids all the technical pitfalls that experience has shown lead to problems and frustration for young beginners. All pieces use the five-finger position fingering system, with frequent changes of position promoting orientation and training the mobility of the hands on the keyboard. This makes the booklet the ideal supplement to relevant courses, but it is also suitable for any kind of audition situation. To make it easier to select pieces for different levels of development, they have been roughly arranged according to difficulty.

The author:
Michael Kull, born in 1983, studied to become a secondary school teacher for music, German and Catholic theology in Karlsruhe. He has been working as a freelance musician, choirmaster, organist and piano teacher since 2009 and is active with various band formations. He lives in Marxzell, Baden-Württemberg.
