Description:
At first glance, this work maybe eclipsed by the earlier Sonata in B major, KV 333 but Mozart's Sonata KV 570 is by the far the more popular work, especially in piano lessons. This maybe due to its more moderate technical demands on the one hand and to the larger variety of musical techniques in Mozart's piano style with which this sonata has in relatively manageable dimensions. The middle movement with its rich colour of wind instruments seems like an orchestral movement of the later Mozart, transcribed for the piano. This Wiener Urtext Edition presents the work in a low-priced separate edition which is suitable for lessons, studies and concert performances.
