Description:
Gershwin wrote the Rhapsody in Blue in 1924 for piano and orchestra. The complete version is long and technically demanding. This abridged piano version retains the familiar opening, the lyrical middle theme, and the closing section. Dense figurations have been omitted where they would interrupt the flow. The melodies remain close to the original.
