Sketch 02 (2002) was written as a compulsory piece for the VI Estonian Pianist Competition in Tallinn, where it was premiered by all participants on April 13, 2002. As the title suggests, all players are encouraged to interpret the written piece freely.
Water Tree (2014) was premiered by Lauri Väinmaa at the "Piano" festival in Tallinn on October 25, 2014. The title refers to a story about a tree in an American front garden from which water suddenly began to flow. Allegedly, no scientist could explain the phenomenon. A report from the Internet, perhaps a fake, who knows, but the idea of a tree spring turned into sound.
