Description:
The composer Thomas Daniel Schlee writes about his piano piece "Sursum chordis corda":
"The third movement of my Second Symphony bears the title "Sursum corda", that liturgical call to lift up our hearts. The music answers it with joyful movement. The piano version is neither a particella nor an intavolazione in the conventional sense; rather, the essential elements of the musical progression are adapted to the rich playful and tonal possibilities of the now solo instrument and partially reinterpreted.
The ambitus of the piece ranges from the impetus of energetic chord sequences to carillon-like moving passages and lyrical turns."
