The collection includes 15 original piano duets (four-handed on one instrument), which are aimed at beginners of all ages. The characteristic miniatures promote sight-reading in an easily accessible and musically appealing way and at the same time introduce ensemble playing.
The primo part moves in unison in five-finger positions that change from piece to piece. The players therefore only have to read one part at first and can concentrate entirely on listening, coordination and musical expression. The rhythmic complexity gradually increases over the course of the booklet. The secondo part provides harmonic richness and rhythmic stability, creating a full, rich sound and a particularly motivating music-making experience for the students. The length of the pieces and the layout are designed in such a way that musical enjoyment and concentration are not clouded by annoying page-turning.
