JAZZ CLUB ermöglichlicht einen spielerischen Einstieg in den Jazz und soll die oft vorhandene Schwellenangst vor Improvisation und Jazz-Theorie nehmen. Interessierte können erst einmal 10 groovige Stücke verschiedener Stilistiken zu den Play-alongs spielen und so mit dem 'Sound' des Jazz vertraut werden. Soli, Akkorde und Rhythmik sind ausgeschrieben, man kann, aber muss nicht, selbst improvisieren oder frei begleiten. Die Stücke sind in 5 Kapitel mit je einem jazz-spezifischen Thema zusammengefasst. Wer tiefer in die Materie eintauchen will, findet Übungen samt Play-alongs zu den Themen Jazz-Phrasierung, Tempo & Rhythmik, Improvisation, Form & Effekte. Die Ausgaben gehen also den Weg 'vom Stück zur Theorie' und nicht umgekehrt.
