The sixth string quartet 'Five scenes for Gustav' was composed in 2020 to a commission from the Amaryllis Quartet, to whom it is also dedicated. The five movements can be performed as preludes to David Philip Hefti's arrangement of Gustav Mahler's Rückert-Lieder, but also as an independent string quartet.
