Description:
Immerse yourself in the fascinating, rhythmically vibrant sound world of the 1920s: With his "Five Pieces for String Quartet", Erwin Schulhoff created a sparkling masterpiece filled with stylistic diversity, wit, and virtuosic energy. He brilliantly fuses the classical tradition of the string quartet with the pulsing dance rhythms of his era—from melancholic tango to fiery tarantella flair. This high-quality full score edition from B-Note Musikverlag offers ensembles (2 violins, viola, and cello) and score readers a very special highlight: it includes the captivating piece No. 6 ("Alla Napoletana"), which Schulhoff had removed from the cycle shortly before the premiere. An essential addition to any ambitious chamber music repertoire, this edition will enrich any concert program and delight performers and audiences alike!
