Im Heft Flexible Strings wird das faszinierende Konzept jetzt in die Editionspraxis umgesetzt. Basis der Arrangements ist ein Streichquintett, das beliebig erweitert werden kann, und zwar sowohl um Kinder, die gerade mal ihr Instrument halten können, als auch um Jugendliche, die sich auf die Aufnahmeprüfung zur Musikhochschule vorbereiten. Und auch die Form der Neuausgabe ist cool: eine Partitur braucht das Ensemble natürlich immer, und ein paar fantasievolle Instruktionen als Gebrauchsanweisung auch, aber doch vielleicht nicht gleich alle 18 Stimmen? Kein Problem - alle Stimmen befinden sich auf der beigefügten CD-ROM, von der das Spielmaterial flexibel ausgedruckt werden kann, damit nach dem Konzert selbst der coolste Rapper aus der 8. Klasse am nächsten Tag bei seinen Eltern bettelt, Geige lernen zu dürfen - .
