Description:
I wrote Naive Waltz in the early 90s for a dance piece called "Zeche 2" in Bochum, Germany. It was one of a few waltzes in that production and the only one to survive the passing of time,' says Elena Kats-Chernin. Shortly afterwards, the composer herself arranged the original piano solo version for string quartet this is the form in which the musically restrained piece is included on the Acacia Quartet's complete recording of her music for this instrumentation.
