Description:
Though the song Singin' in the Rain first appeared in an early American sound film in 1929, its popularity nowadays is largely attributed to the unforgettable scene from the 1952 film of the same name, with Gene Kelly gleefully singing and dancing through the streets of Hollywood in the pouring rain and getting soaked to the skin. The swinging charm of the song's melody, also now a popular jazz standard, has now successfully been encapsulated in Anthony Gröger's new arrangement for string quartet.
