Description:
This work was written for Abraham Gabriely and the Zurich String Trio, who recorded it brilliantly on Swiss Radio DRS in 1982. The first movement is full of energy, but at the same time rather melancholic. The second movement is a wild scherzo with constantly changing and nervous, irregular rhythms. The trio section is a steady but slightly threatening march. The third and final slow movement is very passionate and romantic.
