Description:
ABV 47–49 for 2 cellos, published as a first edition by Elinor Frey. The Canadian cellist discovered these enchanting duets at the British Library and also recorded them on CD: Passacaille Records, PAS1122. The composer’s Solo Caprices (ABV1–11) have become a staple of the repertoire (see DA211), but his solo sonatas (see EW1141, 1147, 1154, 1160, and 1164) are also growing in popularity. Collegium Musicum Series—Cologne Early Music Series "It is clear here as well that the composer is widely underrated. Frey has written prefaces well worth reading ..." ESTA-NACHRICHTEN, 89/2023
