Description:
For his famous organ concerto BWV 593, Johann Sebastian Bach arranged Antonio Vivaldi's Concerto Op. 3 No. 8 for two solo violins, strings and basso continuo from 'L'Estro Armonico'.
This edition, in turn, is an arrangement of this organ concerto for cello, strings and basso continuo, a work commissioned for the renowned cellist Sol Gabetta, who premiered it during the Bachwoche Ansbach 2013.
The composer and arranger Joachim F. W. Schneider offers cellists an arrangement tailored to the character of the instrument. Cellists will be delighted with this addition to their repertoire.
