Description:
Duos for two violoncellos - for lessons and auditions
The present duos for two cellos are intended for two-part playing between student and teacher or an advanced student, and are intended to offer the student a motivating sound experience from the beginning of his development, and also to train a rhythmic feeling and ability to play together.
Intended as an additive for a lively lesson, they lead the student from the first play with the open strings through various musical topics to the 5th position and are also suitable for performance at student auditions.
Horst Rudolf Windhagauer
was born in 1955 in Gmunden in Upper Austria and grew up in Nuremberg. He has lived with his family near Bamberg since 1988. He studied violoncello in Nuremberg and was a teacher at the Musisches Gymnasium in Erlangen until 2021. He is the author of a string symphony, created works and arrangements for cello quartet, various chamber music works, and a number of works for school and teaching. Over the years, he developed a very personal tonal language, which is based on Baroque models and a moderate late Romantic-postmodern style.
