Description:
The labyrinth compositions are not impressions that were created by a mood evoked while looking at them. Rather, they are a way of reading the way through the labyrinths, which is how the labyrinth voices were created. They are in the first part of Labyrinths 1 to 5, in the second voice of Labyrinth 6, and in Labyrinth 7 the Labyrinth voice travels through both instruments.
Inspired by these melodies, the entire composition was created. Drawings by Helga Persel show the labyrinths whose structure inspired the pieces. Due to a system that is equally based on all seven labyrinths, they are absolutely comparable, which also makes their differences clearly visible, similar to character pieces.
