Walter Ernst Haberl, a successful writer for guitar, wrote ‚Latin for Alex' especially for the Austrian Youth Music Competition, Prima la Musica. This music is demanding, requiring a good, modern technique and presents an attractive challenge to young string players in their second to third years. ‚Latin for Alex' will also go down well with the adjudicators and the audience.
