Description:
Some of the most famous pieces from Puccini's oeuvre in arrangements for professional musicians and students alike. The version for violoncello and piano is by Giacomo Fossa, the solo part was arranged by Sandro Laffranchini, first cellist of La Scala in Milan. The selection from the entire artistic output of Puccini, from the first great success Manon Lescaut to La bohème, from Tosca and Madama Butterfly to the experimental La fanciulla del West and Turandot, Puccini's last masterpiece. In addition to these aria transcriptions, there are two real rarities from Puccini's oeuvre: the early Salve Regina and Calmo e molto lento.
