Description:
Alla Turca is one of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's best-known themes and comes from the famous Sonata in A major K. 331. The final movement, known as the "Turkish March", is inspired by the janissary music that thrilled Europe towards the end of the 18th century. With its striking rhythms, pronounced dynamic contrasts and brilliant character, the music unfolds a rousing energy and a distinctly theatrical spirit. In this arrangement by Jean-François Michel, Mozart's liveliness and elegance are fully preserved, while at the same time a new tonal colorfulness and depth is revealed. Sparkling melodic lines alternate with more lyrical passages and create a fine balance between virtuosity and sophistication. To this day, Alla Turca continues to inspire with its timeless freshness and rhythmic radiance, creating a musical highlight that is as glamorous as it is rousing.
