The present work is a four-movement trio, with romantic melodies reminiscent of film music, interwoven with fast and demanding passages that require a high level of virtuosity on the instrument.
Many musical ideas are reminiscent of Gustav Mahler. In the fourth movement you can hear traditional rhythms from Polish mountain regions, which are reminiscent of the composer's homeland.
