Cathy Elliott is a freelance double bass player. For twenty years she toured intensively and produced recordings with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields. Since the early 90s, she has arranged and published a thriving teaching career with beginners and advanced learners aged 6 to 18, for whom she continuously writes, arranges and publishes repertoire. She is a speaker for various examination boards, and in 2009 she was recognized by the International Society of Bassists as an ambassador for young bassists.
