Notturno by Richard Dünser is a 6-minute work for double bass and piano. The dark moods and colours of the piece, very freely evoking musical landscapes, characterise this composition. It shows an imaginary world, a refuge that gives space and inspiration for visions of sound and form. Double bass player Benno Dünser premiered Notturno in March 2022 at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. This edition (EP 14624) comprises the score and the double bass part of the work.
