Description:
Written in 1981 for the painter and musician Rivka Golani, the work was premiered in 1981 as part of Musique Vivante, Paris, by Rivka Golani, viola. A harmony progressing at a very slow tempo is covered by a precisely defined arpeggio and tremolo technique of the bow by several incessantly trembling sound grids that move irregularly in all directions. What sounds through these grids is an extremely multi-layered, extremely fast-moving music that plays simultaneously. There are versions of the same work also for cello (1981) and for violin (1983).
