An Ephemeral Moment

An Ephemeral Moment for classical guitar and violin explores the fragile sensation of experiencing something beautiful while knowing it cannot last. The piece grew out of a simple question: have you ever lived a moment so perfect that you wished you could somehow freeze time?

Written during a period when I felt deeply supported and surrounded by my community, the music emerged quickly and intuitively. Many sections came almost all at once, as if the piece itself were trying to capture a fleeting emotional state before it disappeared.

Through slowly unfolding textures and melodies, An Ephemeral Moment lingers in spaces where sound feels suspended in time. Rather than building toward a single destination, the music drifts between fragile gestures and expanding atmospheres, reflecting the strange awareness we sometimes feel inside beautiful experiences. In this way, the piece becomes an attempt to hold onto something that cannot truly be held: a passing moment that exists briefly, intensely, and then disappears.
