Description:
The concertos by Oskar Rieding (1840-1918) are among the 'classics' of the teaching literature. In particular, the Concerto in B minor is one of the most frequently played student concertos for violin and a wonderful introduction to the world of solo literature for violin. With this piece, Rieding composed a work that demands tonal beauty at an easy technical level, allows for temperament, and effectively showcases the soloist.
This edition is part of the new Schott Student Edition series, which offers a wide variety of literature for instrumental instruction at difficulty levels 1 (easy) to 5 (difficult). All editions of the series are available classically as a printed edition or digitally as a PDF download.
