Susanne Ehlers (1964-1996) hatte ihr musikalisches Leben ganz auf die Neue Musik ausgerichtet: Sie engagierte sich in verschiedenen Ensembles für Neue Musik, gründete das ConGioco Ensemble und das Mengano Quartett, entwickelte und realisierte Programme und Projekte im Bereich Experimentelles Musiktheater, Improvisation und Performance, Neues Tanztheater. Als Emely Zobel schrieb Susanne Ehlers Solostücke, Kammermusik und graphische Improvisationsvorlagen. Die nun veröffentlichte CD hat sie kurz vor ihrem Tod aufgenommen.
