Description:
The Sonata in E minor op. 3 No. 6 is undoubtedly one of Paganini's most popular and most frequently performed compositions. A beautiful, melancholy melody is followed by a fast hunting motif part in thirds, the middle part in turn requires fluency and pizzicato of the left hand. Nevertheless, the short, attractive sonata belongs to the relatively "easy" pieces of Paganini and is therefore also very suitable for the study area.
As a model for our new edition we used the first edition for violin and guitar published in Milan in 1819 as well as Delphin Alard's arrangement for violin and piano from 1865.
Our edition contains both versions, i.e. both the piano and the guitar accompaniment.
