Description:
This is the first published edition of a highly melodious and passionate work and would suit all violinists of grade 8 concert standard and as such forms a major addition to the violin and piano repertoire.
Doreen Carwithen (1922-2003) was a British composer of classical and film music who quickly rose in prominence in the male-dominated post-WWII film world. Her music has seen a resurgence of interest in recent years and her output includes a piano concerto, short orchestral works, two string quartets, vocal and solo instrumental works, and about 30 film scores.
