Description:
Friedrich Seitz (1848-1918) was one of the best-known and most sought-after violinists of his time. A resolute first movement in G minor opens the concerto, which is followed by a lovely Adagio in E flat major and leads into a cheerful, dance-like final movement in G major.
The concise prefaces by the renowned string pedagogue Kurt Sassmannshaus introduce the work and point out relevant instrumental requirements.
The edition is an ideal continuation of the Sassmannshaus schools, but can also be used independently of the instrumental school used in each case.
