Description:
This book contains original compositions written between nearly fifteen years ago and today. They span three different genres, more or less, but are also fluently compatible for concerts or just practicing. "Erinnerungen" recalls classical music like that of Robert Schumann. "It's All There" sounds more like piano pop music or a musical number, and "Historie d'amour" could be for a film and contains parts of the harmonic structure I use to improvise in jazz music. A lovely bass ostinato in the measure of 5/4 makes the groove unique...
For the recording session, the pieces were written for my very talented Armenian violin player and friend, Asta Mamikonyan. The piano section is how I understand playing this music when I accompany a soloist spontaneously. Some parts were written out; some were transcribed later from the album.
Full scores with 22 pages and violin parts with extra 7 pages are written in two separate booklets. Bonus material is a transposed version of "It's All There" to C- major, wich can be played much easier as the original key in B-major. Chord symbols are written in for a better understanding of the harmonic structure.
