Description:
De Bériot also composed a series of concertos. The Ninth in A minor, published in 1859, is also a popular choice for advanced violin students. The then 8-year-old Julia Fischer also performed it with verve. Virtuoso short passages, changing rhythms and the slightly Hungarian accent characterize the piece.

The series "Bärenreiter's Concert Pieces" comprises concert pieces for solo strings, mostly violin, but also viola and cello, with piano accompaniment.
