Franz Schreker

Der ferne Klang

Immerse yourself in the intoxicating soundscape of the musical Fin de Siècle: With "Der ferne Klang", Franz Schreker created one of the most fascinating and visionary operas of the early 20th century. This masterpiece in three acts tells the poignant story of the relentless pursuit of an ideal sound and tragic love. Published by Universal Edition, this vocal score for voice and piano is the perfect tool for singers, répétiteurs, and opera enthusiasts. A standout feature of this edition is the masterful, simplified arrangement by Ferdinand Rebay: it translates the highly complex, late-Romantic orchestral score into an easily playable yet rich piano reduction without losing any of the original's magic. An indispensable score for rehearsals, vocal preparation, and study.
