For soprano and orchestra. The vocal score to the mad scene from Bell’s 2013 opera A Harlot’s Progress. This scene charts the mental and emotional descent of Moll Hackabout who is in the final stages of syphilis, until she finally finds peace and dies. First performed (in concert) in September 2017 at the Enescu Festival, by soprano Adela Zaharia and the Enescu Festival Orchestra, conducted by Dmitry Sitkovetsky. Duration: c.15 minutes.
