Description:
Ferdinand Schubert gefiel das Salve Regina in F von 1815 so gut, dass er seinen Bruder Franz bat, Bläserstimmen dazuzukomponieren. Das Werk wurde mit Bläsern 1825 bei Diabelli in Wien unter dem Titel 'Zweytes Offertorium' gedruckt und ging in dieser Fassung 1888 auch in die 'Alte Schubert-Ausgabe' sowie in alle seither erschienenen Ausgaben ein. Die Carus-Neuausgabe unterscheidet erstmals bereits im Notenbild zwischen beiden Fassungen und bietet mit der Besetzungsalternative 'ohne Bläser' kleineren Ensembles eine vollwertige Aufführungsmöglichkeit des Werkes, die zudem den Reiz des Originalen besitzt. Darüberhinaus wurde in der Carus-Ausgabe das Autograph der Erstfassung erstmals vollständig als Faksimile wiedergegeben. - Solo S, [2 Clt, 2 Fg, 2 Cor], 2 Vl, Vc/Cb, Org
