Description:
First edition by Peter Thalheimer. At the age of 13, Andrea Stefano Fiorè published his first work, Opus 12, a set of trio sonatas that brought him fame as a child prodigy. A year later, his first opera was performed in his hometown of Milan. After studying with Arcangelo Corelli in Rome, he served as court Kapellmeister in Turin from 1707 until his death. Santo Lapis was from Bologna. Beginning in 1726, he served as a tenor singer at San Marco in Venice, where in the following years he devoted himself to composing operas and organizing a traveling opera troupe, with which he traveled as far as Klagenfurt and Prague. After 1740, he lived in Amsterdam and later in London.
