Description:
This book is designed for all those who sing in choir or work on their voice and want to decipher more quickly, want to progress through independent work.
This volume offers a wide variety of exercises designed to:increase awareness of the importance of the text, its real meaning and the feelings underlying it, so that it is not reduced to a syllabic sequence emptied of its spirit (prosodies); develop jointly the visual, sensory and auditory memorization of an interval or/and harmony (melody-harmony); learn to observe and analyze a score: one's own, but also those of others playing or singing with one; learning to adjust one's voice to others, whether instrumental or vocal (deciphering).
These exercises are presented in three parts: Prosodies: alternating binary and ternary rhythmic readings (from the repertoire) and rhythmic recreations. Ear work: interval exercises, with a view to developing the contrapuntal ear (second, third and mixed intervals) and harmonic awareness exercises, with a view to developing the harmonic ear (perfect chords, awareness of homonymous tonalities, cadences) Singing (a cappella, accompanied, polyphonic): a wide selection of musical excerpts from a variety of repertoires, enabling the various approaches detailed in the previous sequences to be put into practiceAudio accompaniments to the decipherments and various exercises are available for download, along with a theoretical aide-memoire and the answers to the various exercises.
