'Withdrawal' has been comissioned by Japanese cellist Kumi Kondo in 2003. The piece is written for Cello and Female voice and can be performed by one or two musicians. The piece has been performed several times in the Netherlands, including a performance at the international Cello festivals in Dordrecht and Brussels (Belgium) in 2005.
