On the way to the completely revised new Protestant hymnal to be published in 2028/29, the Office for Church Music of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Württemberg has convened a song workshop in 2024 to develop new spiritual congregational songs for the Württemberg regional section of the hymnal. Within this framework, 17 musicians and lyricists have created numerous congregational songs on the topics of "Songs about the church year and its (Christ) festivals", songs about "us as a church", "Songs about peace and war" and "Songs about living together in the face of the climate crisis", 26 of which are published in this songbook, from "Ankommen" and "Friedensgruß" to "Hab dich verloren" and "Ich lebe mein Leben" to "Spiegelbild" and "Zäune und Mauern verschwinden". Also available is an edition for keyboard instruments with technically easy-to-master accompaniments.
