Description:
2 trumpets, 2 trombones (alternative parts: trumpet in Bb and C, horn in F and Eb, baritone Bb, trombone, euphonium in Bb)
Most of the work of Clement Janequin (1485-1558) consists of settings of texts by Marot, François 1st, Ronsard etc.. He seems to have been more interested in the rhythm than in the sense of his texts. In 1550 he was appointed 'Singer in Ordinary to the King' and towards the end of his life obtained the much sought-after title of 'Composer in Ordinary to the King'.
